There are two migration counting stations next to the town of Wenduine: the Spioenkop close to the sea and an observation platform inside the dunes. From the Spioenkop you have a good view of the sea. It is therefore the perfect place to follow the autumn migration over the sea. You can see species such as Fulmaro, Sula, Gabbiano tridattilo, shearwaters, sea ducks, skuas, terns, razorbills, divers and with a bit of luck Gabbiano di Sabine or even Uccello delle tempeste.
The observation platform is located in the middle of the dunes and is therefore a good place to follow the spring and autumn migration. You can see birds such as Beccapesci,Sterna comune and even the Airone rosso. With some luck the Albanella minore. In the dunes you can also see Usignolo, Sterpazzola, Gheppio and Luì grosso. In winter, with a bit of luck, you can see the Zigolo delle nevi here.

Nederlands: Aan de Noordzeekust bij Wenduine zijn er twee trektelposten: de Spioenkop vlak aan zee en een observatieplatform in de duinen. Vanaf de Spioenkop heb je goed zicht op zee. Het is daarom de perfecte plek om de najaarstrek over zee te volgen. Je ziet er soorten als Fulmaro, Sula, Gabbiano tridattilo, pijlstormvogels, zee-eenden, jagers, sterns, alken, duikers en met een beetje geluk Gabbiano di Sabine of zelfs Uccello delle tempeste.
Het observatieplatform ligt midden in de duinen en is daardoor een goede plek om de voor- en najaarstrek te volgen. Je kunt vogels zien als Beccapesci, Sterna comune en zelfs Airone rosso. Met wat geluk ook de Albanella minore. In de duinen kun je verderUsignolo, Sterpazzola, Gheppio en Luì grosso zien. In de winter kun je hier met een beetje geluk Zigolo delle nevi aantreffen.

Trektelposten Wenduine are located in the town of Wenduine. You can park your car in Wenduine or at the observation platform. The area is accessible via the N34 or the N317. Press P in the map for directions to a parking.
