Torfbroek is a wetland that consists of several lakes (which were recently dug and therefore have clear water), wet grasslands and a large reed field. It is surrounded by forest. As a result, the area offers a wide range of different species: forest, reed and water birds.

Nederlands: Torfbroek is een nat gebied met een centraal rietmoeras waar Bruine Kiekendief broedt. Ook is dit gebied ideaal voor orchideeënliefhebbers. Het gebied bestaat uit verschillende plassen (die recent gegraven werden en dus helder van water), natte graslanden en een groot rietveld. Het is omringd door bos. Hierdoor biedt het gebied een groot waaier aan verschillende soorten: bos-, riet- en watervogels.

Parking is difficult in the area. There is 1 place where you can park your car close by, but this is often limited to a few cars, as the parking is popular with campers with a mobile home. On the map you see some alternative parking spots. Click on a P in the map to get directions. You can explore the area on foot. There is no marked hiking trail, but you can follow the following marked points: 104 - 105 - 102 - 103 - 104. In the winter period you can walk through the reed land. During the breeding season, this area is closed so that Tarabuso and Falco di palude can breed in peace. The circular walk indicated on the map is approximately 4 km.

Er is 1 plek waar je de auto dichtbij kan parkeren, maar vaak is dit gelimiteerd tot een paar auto's, gezien de parking geliefd is bij kampeerders met de mobilhome. Op de kaart zijn enkele andere parkeerplaatsen weergegeven. Klik op een P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Je kan het gebied te voet verkennen. Er is geen aangeduid wandelpad, maar je kan wel volgende knooppunten volgen: 104 - 105 - 102 - 103 - 104. In de winterperiode kan je door het rietland. Tijdens het broedseizoen is dit afgesloten zodat Tarabuso en Falco di palude in alle rust kunnen broeden. De rondwandeling die is aangegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 4 km.
