Most of the time people visit this nature reserve during the summer. But also during the winter and migration period you can see intersting bird species. The area is famous for the Succiacapre which you can see during the summer but in the winter you can see the Averla maggiore. Other birds you can encounter in the area are Quattrocchi, Falco pescatore, Lodolaio, Smeriglio, Cicogna nera, Picchio muratore, Corvo imperiale, Gru, Picchio nero and Allocco. Rare visitors are Aquila di mare, Calandro, Airone rosso and Cavaliere d'Italia.
