The 12 hectares of the area consist of four former fish ponds in the Molenbeek valley. The ponds have been managed in a nature-friendly way for ten years. They are a good place to make the first spring observations of Tuffetto , Svasso maggiore , Martin pescatore , Cannaiola , Cormorano . During the winter half-year, in addition to modest numbers of Moretta, Moriglione, Alzavola are present. Other species are seen to a lesser extent Canapiglia, Mestolone, Marzaiola , Tarabusino.
In recent years many rareties were seen during migration, like Svasso piccolo, Tarabuso, Pendolino ,Sgarza ciuffetto.
