Baldwin Swamp Environmental Park is comprised of open Eucalypt forest, Woongarra Scrub and natural wetlands. The park is an important habitat for waterbirds and other wildlife. With several entry points and a network of walking tracks, boardwalks and bridges, there are many ways to explore Baldwin Swamp. Look out for large colonies of waterbirds such as Magpie Goose, Australian Wood Duck, Hardhead and Plumed Whistling-Duck. Other birds that can be observed include Cotton Pygmy-Goose, Australian Brushturkey, Australasian Swamphen Australasian Darter, Australian White Ibis, Royal Spoonbill, Australian Pelican, Little Friarbird, Pheasant Coucal, Sacred Kingfisher and Rainbow Bee-eater.

Baldwin Swamp Environmental Park is on the eastern end of George Street in Bundaberg East. The park is well-signposted, and there is a parking area accessible from Steindl Street. There are other access points as well. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking area. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3 km.
