Clark County Wetlands Park spans 2,900 acres on the eastern edge of the Las Vegas Valley. With a 210-acre Nature Preserve the Park provides desert, marsh and stream-side habitat of the Las Vegas Wash. Combined with open ponds and trees, it attracts birds of all kinds.
It is home to a wide variety of resident and migratory birds, especially waterfowl. It can easily be reached from Las Vegas (20 minute drive) and a visit can be combined with the nearby Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve.
Clark County Wetlands Park can easily be reached from Las Vegas (approx 20 minute drive from the airport) and a visit can be combined with the nearby Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve (also described on Birdingplaces). Press P on the map for directions to the car park.
Park trails and trailheads are open during daylight hours every day. Wetlands Park is free to visit. The visitor center is open Tuesday - Sunday, 9 am to 3 pm. The preserve has three miles of paved ADA accessible trails and a network of connecting unpaved trails.
I have only visited this site once, and I am not a US resident so not likley to visit again soon (although I would love to). If a local birder or more frequent visitor wants to take-over ownership of this site, please reach out.
