The Ridgeway is a prehistoric track and national long distance path. Upland area rising to 800 feet which is good for wintering passerine flocks and raptors.

Description

On the Ridgeway, flocks of Korntittlingur, Gultittlingur, Sönglævirki Þúfutittlingur, Birkifinka, Fjallafinka, Barrfinka, Heiðlóa, Skógarþröstur and Gráþröstur may be seen in winter. Steindepill and Vallskvetta are passage migrants. Occasional Akurhæna and hare. Raptors such as Förufálki, Turnfálki, Bláheiðir, Svölugleða, Brandugla, Smyrill and Gunnfálki.
