RSPB car park free to members. There is a pay and display oppersite for the nature reserve. £3 per car for all day.

In winter thousands of Stari arrive to roost in the reedbeds at dusk often performing spectacular murmurations. During spring The ‘boom’ of the male Sefþvari can be heard echoing across the reserve and flying females bringing food to their young. Swallows, swifts, Bakkasvala and Gunnfálki arrive from Africa - up to 30 Gunnfálki may be seen in the air at one time.
