Most westerly reservoir in England at the tip of Cornwall. Built 1961, Cornwall WBPS reserve in NW corner with hide. Tick list of 230 species.
Drift Reservoir has wildfowl, gulls and waders in autumn and winter including Duggönd, Hvinönd, Lóuþræll, Dvergsnípa, Fjöruspói, Spói, Trjámáfur and Hláturmáfur. Gjóður regular in autumn, usual array of nesting passerines, reedbed species, Bláþyrill and Dverggoði. Note: Beyond the car park, picnic site and dam, access is limited to Cornwall Birds members (see more details below).
Take A30 from Penzance, go right in Drift village, parking by the dam. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The circular route indicated on the map is about 3,8 km long.
