Nice, small and well preserved wetland. Nice to see its natural structure. The wetland holds Eirönd and Skutulönd breeding couples and others.
Lake Çilli is a small freshwater habitat with emergent vegetation. It seems well preserved. The lake is not deep and there is no intensive irrigation system which takes water from the lake. Farming practices around the lake look traditional. During the spring migration it is a lively place in terms of birds.
You can reach Lake Çilli by car. The village roads are the only way to go to the lake. It is convenient to go there from the center of Çaldıran district. You can park at several points. Click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates. The best way to explore the area is by car and on foot.
