Description
The Gerlafinger Weiher was created in 1896 by artificial damming. It served as a reservoir for the utility water supply of Von Roll-Werke. The lake offers a diverse vegetation and around it developed a floodplain forest. Today it is an important wintering site for Stokkönd (up to several hundred), Urtönd and Gargönd.

There is a parking at the train station. Click on the P in the map to get directions. From the parking on foot you can reach the observation tower in a few minutes.
