Description
Normally Söne Mad is one large and clear water area, suitable for resting ducks, geese and other wetland birds. A good place to see Haförn, Förufálki and Brúnheiðir. Nesting birds are Hrossagaukur, Keldusvín, Sefþvari and Gauktíta in the summertime. Often you can also encounter Stubbspæta and Kampameisa.

Access
By car or bike to either the bird tower at Nyckelbergstornet (Park on the left in the field before the forest slope before the harbor. It is then approx. 300 m left to walk on the forest road. Do not park in the harbor), or Söne idrottsplats (football fields). Suitable for hiking, not biking. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
