Description
Målsjön is a lake surrounded by pastures, meadows, and deciduous and coniferous forests. Just northwest of Målsjön is the larger lake Hägern. At the northwestern end of Målsjön is the hamlet of Röstorp. The area has two bird observation towers and tables and benches for coffee. In the area, among others, nest Hrossagaukur, Vepja, Sefþvari and Brúnheiðir.
Three good periods to visit the area are the breaking of the ice, the turn of the month April-May and the end of May-June.
