Description
Linsellsjön is a lake surrounded by forest and is nice for a short stop if you are in the area or pass by. The lake has a number of boulders and small islands. As the lake is rich in fish you can often observe Glitbrúsi, Gjóður and terns. The season begins in April with Álft, Toppönd, Glitbrúsi, Heiðlóa and Lyngstelkur. In May, more ducks such as Rauðhöfðaönd, Urtönd, Hrafnsönd and, with a bit of luck Lómur can be found then. More waders stop by, such as Lyngstelkur and Trjástelkur. Gulls and terns are also arriving. In July, waders can be seen on their autumn migration, including Bakkatíta and Lyngstelkur. Otherwise, it is divers and various water birds that stay throughout the summer, even Dvergmáfur have been seen.
