Description
Lillängsgölen is easily accessible by a bird observation tower. The lake is best from May to June when the breeding birds arrive. In the reed Síkjasöngvari, Keldusvín and Seftittlingur breed. On the coastal wetlands Grátrana, Skógarsnípa Hrossagaukur and Vepja breed. Lómur, Flórgoði, Stokkönd, Urtönd, Álft and Hvinönd breed on the lake. Some years Trjástelkur, Skutulönd, Kanadagæs, Brúnheiðir, andGunnfálki breed.
In the forest around many pine favouring birds breed, some more common are Orri, Toppmeisa, Þyrnisvarri, Þiður, Runntítla, Gauktíta, Stubbspæta, Barrspæta, Svartspæta, Gransöngvari, Gjóður, Sparrhaukur, and Músvákur.

Lillängsgölen is located 18 km northeast of Eksjö. There is a small parking lot next to the road. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The trail to the birding tower (500 m) is not clearly marked.
