Area is dominated by grazed meadows and thickets of deciduous forest, against Sjösaviken's large reed belts. The area is also botanically interesting.
Labro ängar offers a varied nature with grazed meadows and deciduous forest areas with old oaks and hazel groves. Towards Sjösaviken in the east there is a good view from a bird tower. Inside the reed belts are sandbanks that attract waders and more. In forest areas there are plenty of songbirds such as Spésöngvari and Grænsöngvari. Burrowing birds benefit from the old oaks, on Sjösaviken and in the reed area you can see Brúnheiðir, Gjóður, Haförn, Mjallhegri and Gráhegri. In spring and autumn many ducks rest on the open water and Ránþerna can sometimes be spotted.
