North of the town of El Cotillo you find a barren coastal area. At the end of the track the lighthouse Faro El Toston is located.

Description

The walk along the beach North of El Cotillo is varying between rocky lava fields and small bays with white sand. Here Bjarthegri and Sanderla can be seen, but also Tildra and Strandlóa.

A bit further in inland (see map) is breeding ground for Tríll, along the road and path you can see Lúðurfinka, Glámsöngvari, Hrauntittlingur and Stúflævirki. In the area also Skarngammur and Förufálki can be seen.

According to ebird Urðaskrofa (diomedea) / Urðaskrofa and Melspíra has been seen.
