Description

Puertos de Aliva is a walk along a well marked path in the Picos de Europa National Park. Covering a range of habitats, including valley bottom, high alpine pastures, a good ridge walk to Refuge de Aliva. In summer birds include singing Rauðþröstungur , displaying Fjalltittlingur and raptors, such as Lambagammur , Skarngammur , Gæsagammur and both Vatnagleða and Svölugleða.

Access

Park just outside of Sotres and walk along the valley on a good path. Alternatively, you can drive along a 4x4 path for 2km to park at Vegas del Toro. The route from to Sotres Refuge de Aliva is about 8 km one way.
