Description
The small Puebla campsite is situated on the Embalse de José Torán. This reservoir is located on the bird migration route to Tarifa. As spring progresses, a large part of the reservoir dries up, allowing you to make beautiful walks inside the reservoir. Especially during the autumn migration the (empty) reservoir is visited by hundreds of Sandlóa and Vatnalóa, 3 species of Gulerla, countless Brandsvala, as well as Bjargsvala, Bæjasvala, Bakkasvala and Landsvala. Herfugl can be seen in large numbers. Völsungur hunts every day, often with 2 or 3 individuals.
In spring and summer the campsite has breeding Þyrnisvarri, Húsaskotta, Garðaskotta, Flekkugrípur, Grágrípur, Steppusvarri, Spánarspör, 4 species of tits, Barrspæta, Stubbspæta and Grænspæta. The Skassörn and Gæsagammur breed in the vicinity of the campsite. Snákerna, Skálmörn and Gjóður are also frequently seen, as are Vatnagleða and Svölugleða.
Located between Seville and Cordoba, the small campsite is an excellent place to stay surrounded by nature. There are a huge variety of birds to spot on and around the campsite. If you stay for a few days, you can easily see 80 species of birds up close.
