Permanent lagoon surrounded by agricultural crops (vineyards and cereal steppe).
Laguna de Salobrejo (or Salobralejo) is one of the few lagoons in the area that conserves water throughout the entire year, so it is especially interesting when the rest of the seasonal lagoons are dry. It hosts a large number of birds (several thousand) and a diversity of species during the winter. Good place to observe Bláhæna, Keldusvín or Skassörn. Only place in the province where Heiðasnípa has been recorded. Among the other birds you can encounter are Brúnheiðir, Bláheiðir, Rúkragi, Urtönd, Eirönd, Kólfönd, Stargoði, Skutulönd, Grágæs and Rauðflæmingi.

By car, turn off the A31 highway towards Higueruela and take the service road of the train track heading west, which takes you directly to the lagoon. From the town of Higueruela it can be accessed by bicycle on a route of about 8 km along the track.
