Description

Garcera Río Guadiana is an island in the middle of the riverbed in Mérida. It has a lot of vegetation, which has caused several species of birds to use it as a roost or to breed. Good spot to observe birds like Gráhegri, Bognefur, Nátthegri and Flatnefur.

Se trata de una isla en medio del cauce del río, esta posee bastante vegetación lo que ha producido que varias especies de aves la utilicen como dormidero o para criar. mencion especial tienen especies como la Gráhegri, el Bognefur, el Nátthegri o la Flatnefur.

The best location to observe the island is from the pedestrian part of the Lusitania Bridge, entering from any of its sides. From José Fernandez López avenue the observation area is closer.
