Harold Porter is a stunning botanical garden full of endemic birds and rich in fynbos species.
Harold Porter Botanical Gardens is nestled within the heart of coastal fynbos. This enchanting garden flourishes amid the pinnacle of floral diversity. It spans across mountain slopes adorned with wind-sculpted heathlands, meanders through deep gorges housing ancient relict forests, and extends over flats and marshes adorned with an array of restios, sedges, and bulbs. Alongside the beach, dunes showcase a unique collection of salt-adapted plants. The garden's allure is heightened by the acclaim it receives for its captivating waterfalls and the mesmerizing amber pools that grace its landscape.
It is also close to Stony Point Penguin colony - a great place to see African Penguins.
