Flood plains of the Danube. At this place you can witness gatherings of thousands of birds during spring and fall migrations.
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. Skutulönd, Skúfönd, Hvinönd, Duggönd and Flórgoði are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly Grágæs and Blesgæs.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like Herfugl, Haförn, Bleshæna, Stokkönd and Grafönd. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), Spésöngvari, Síkjasöngvari, Sefsöngvari and Grágrípur. Also there are migrating raptors like Gjóður and Býþjór.
