Description
It is a hilly area, with pieces of dense forest with a chance of seeing various woodpeckers. Other parts are open with thickets where Þyrnisvarri, Sandtittlingur, Þyrnisöngvari, Trjáspör, Trjálævirki, Hagaskvetta, Geigsvarri and Gaukur can be seen. There are also sand walls where Býsvelgur nests. Along the rivers the Laufglói sings, which can also be seen very well from the higher hills. The Herfugl calls out loud and is especially visible on treetops. The Hrafn is also active and several birds of prey patrol the area. Various bird species are also present in the reeds.
