Description
Due to the presence of shallow pools, the Vadu area is popular with waders such as Efjutíta, Háleggur, Bakkatíta, Veimiltíta, Strandlóa and Óðinshani. In spring and autumn it is a good place for migratory birds. But also in summer many marsh birds such as Rauðhegri, Bognefur, Skeggþerna, Nátthegri, Brúnheiðir, Flóðrella and Dvalsöngvari are breeding in this area.
