Description
Wigry Lake is located in one of the most beautiful national parks in Poland. It is a large and very clean lake with an extremely interesting shoreline, surrounded by an old natural forest. This allows you to see aquatic species such as the Dílaskarfur, Toppgoði, Skúfönd, Skutulönd, Haförn and in winter Hvítönd and loons, as well as forest species such as Jarpi, Peðgrípur, Skálmugla or Sparrugla.
The lake is huge and its complex coastline creates enormous opportunities, the observation sites proposed on the map are only selected suggestions. A very beautiful place at any time of the year, and there is not much tourist traffic.

Access
Wigry Lake has very good access via public roads, very good infrastructure, many parking lots, viewing areas and very nice bicycle and walking routes. It is also possible to explore the park from the water, and floating equipment rentals are available. The park can be visited by bike, on foot, by car, by boat or kayak. Polski: Bardzo dobry dojazd drogami publicznymi, bardzo dobra infrastruktura, wiele parkingów, miejsc widokowych, bardzo ładne trasy rowerowe i piesze. Istnieje także możliwośc zwiedzania parku z wody, dostępne są wypożyczalnie sprzętu pływającego. Park mozna zwiedzać zarówno rowerem, pieszo, samochodem jak też łódką czy kajakiem.
