Jezioro Drużno is a large lake located in the vicinity of Elbląg, in the Warmian-Masurian region. More than 140 bird species can be seen here.
The Jezioro Drużno lake is a Ramsar site. It consists of a shallow and largely overgrown lake in the Vistula Delta region near the Baltic coast, with surrounding wetlands, reedbeds and swampy alder forests. During summer, more than 140 bird species find refuge within the site. The Jezioro Drużno lake has a large concentration of waterfowl and you can see birds such as: Mjallhegri, Toppgoði, Stokkönd, Hnúðsvanur, Bleshæna,Hvítstorkur, Dílaskarfur, Gráhegri, Haförn, Bláþyrill, Skeggþerna.
There is an observation tower located right on the lake in the place where the Dzierzgonka River flows into the lake. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. The path to the tower (1 km) can be very muddy.
