Description
The Jezioro Dominickie lake is of importance for many birds. This 384 hectare reservoir is connected by a system of canals with other nearby lakes. Geese (with a predominance of Grágæs), Bleshæna and various species of ducks (including Hrafnsönd and Korpönd), as well as Lómur and Glitbrúsi, Toppgoði, Stargoði, Flórgoði and Hvítönd winter in great numbers. Of the birds of prey, it is not uncommon to see Haförn, sometimes Förufálki.

Access
Observations are best made from the southern side of the lake (also due to sunlight). An unpaved pedestrian and bicycle path runs along the lake shore.
