This wetland area with peat and quag-mires is nice during summer for Dvergsnípa, Sótstelkur and other eastern wetlandbirds. Other birds you can encounter are Haförn, Flóastelkur, Gulerla, Brandugla, Sandlóa, Skúfönd, Bláheiðir and Grásvarri.
