The forest of the Coendersborg estate is being transformed to natural forest. Mushrooms, plants, insects and forest birds such as Náttugla and Stubbspæta benefit from this. Nederlands: Landgoed Coendersborg herbergt een mooie samensmelting van natuur, landschap en cultuurhistorie terug te zien zowel in het landschap als aan de gebouwen. Het bos wordt omgevormd van productiebos naar natuurbos. Paddenstoelen, planten, insecten en bosvogels zoals de Náttugla en Stubbspæta profiteren hier van. Door het gras tussen de heide te maaien, houde men het gebied gezond en gevarieerder. De karakteristieke houtsingels rond de weilanden worden ook behouden door gericht onderhoud zodat ze optimaal tot hun recht komen in het landschap. Vanaf de Coendersborg is een ecologische verbinding aangelegd naar het Dwarsdiep.
