Many common birds can be found in and around this large lake in Yangon.
Inya Lake is the largest lake in Yangon and a popular recreational area for Yangonites. Most of the access is from the large hotels that surround the lake. From the hotel grounds you can find mostly common Asian wetland and forest species - Asian Koel, Brahminy Kite and Black Kite, and the weird sounding House Crows.
Inya Lake is located 10 km north of downtown Yangon. Inya Lake is bounded by Parami Road on the north, Pyay Road on the west, Inya Road on the southwest, University Avenue on the south, and Kaba Aye Pagoda Road on the east. Access is from most of the large hotels that surround the lake - Inya Lake Hotel being one, which has some nice grounds too.
