It is a large garrigue area. The upper part is charactertised by a number of shrubs and lentisk trees.
Xrobb L-Għaġin is the south-eastern most point of the Maltese Islands. A lot of species of birds that visit the park are typical to open expanses, such as Herfugl, Turtildúfa, Kornhæna, Larks, Wagtails, Redstarts, Wheatears etc. But in the tall trees you can also see Flycathers, Sparrows and Robins, while in the shrubs you can find Hálmsöngvari and Hjálmsöngvari which is residential and makes its nests in the Mediterranean Buckthorn bushes in the park. The park may look deserted at first glance, but it is a good birding place especially for passerines.
You can park inside the park. There is a small car park.
