Description
Vingis Park is an old park wedged between the city of Vilnius and the Neris river. There are many walking paths, both paved and unpaved, leading through mixed forest and along the river. It can be a bit noisy right next to the E272 motorway in the east, but as you walk further west you can barely hear the cars. In the forest, you will hear a lot of bird songs in spring, especially from Spésöngvari, Grænsöngvari en Flekkugrípur. On and along the river you can see Hvinönd, Seljusöngvari en Klapparmáfur. The Skógfeti and Peðgrípur also breed here. Via the bridge in the north you can cross the river to the Karoliniškių nature reserve.
