A walk along the Torrente Sturla is interesting for the heronry with Gráhegri. And going up the river you can observe birds like Sefhæna, Keldusvín, Klapparmáfur and Hettumáfur. Also easy to see all year round are Stokkönd, Dílaskarfur and Bláþyrill and passerines (Þistilfinka, Bókfinka, Gransöngvari). You walk along the river, starting either from the mouth or from the Roman bridge located further inland.
