Description
A small lake where in winter you can see over 4,000 diving ducks, especially Skúfönd and Skutulönd, but also Jarpönd, Duggönd, Kólfönd, Sefþvari, Klapparmáfur. A few dabbling ducks are present too. A large roost of Dílaskarfur is present and recently Dvergskarfur is often here.
In spring Rauðhegri, Rindilþvari and Dílaskarfur usually breed here. Grænpáfi is common too.
Rarities: Hringönd, Hrókönd, Hvítönd, Hávella, Akurgæs (serrirostris) and Blesgæs.

It is not that easy to access the lake shore, but you can get there from the west side where there is an observation hide.
