Salt ponds 20 km north of Eilat that are rich in birds. Rauðflæmingi, waders, shore birds almost all year round. Late spring is good for raptors coming to drink, like Býþjór. Birds that are often seen are Mýsvelgur, Lichtenstein's Sandgrouse, Tígulþerna, Ránþerna, Skeiðönd, Grafönd, Háleggur, Bjúgnefja, Grálóa, Auðnalóa, Strandlóa, Sandlóa, Broddvepja, Jaðrakan, Stelkur, Sótstelkur, Lóuþræll, Veimiltíta, Vatnastelkur and Rúkragi. Come off Route 90 from the south, turn near km 20 marking, drive due east. Passable for all kinds of vehicles. Some parts may be muddy at times.
