Description

The boat trip in the Steingrímsfjörður starts with sailing around of the island of Grímsey. On the island you can see colonies of Álka, Toppskarfur, Langvía and Rita as well as thousands of Lundi flying overhead. Also good chance to see Fýll, Teista, Æðarfugl, Kría, Himbrimi and Lómur. On a guided walk you can hike up to the lighthouse. With an estimated breeding colony of around 60,000 Lundi, this is one of the few tours in Iceland where you actually get to walk the island and get a close look at the birds.
