Nagy-tó means Big Lake. In this large wetland next to the village of Tiszaalpár there is a big heron nesting colony in the willows-jungle around the Big Lake. Plenty of Nátthegri, Kúhegri, Bjarthegri, Mjallhegri, Gráhegri, Rauðhegri, Flatnefur and Relluhegri nest in the area. But there are many other interesting birds to see like Lónamáfur, Sefgoði, Hvítönd, Haförn and Torftittlingur.
