Description
Just past the Vouvaris river mouth, the road crosses the river over a small bridge. This is a great resting spot to enjoy some local breeding species, roosting migrants and to enjoy massive numbers of pond turtles. These turtles are being fed often, and tend to come towards you while standing on the bridge. The area is nicely sheltered by taller trees, which can be great for migrants, like flycatchers and warblers. Sometimes, Barkigða comes down here too. In winter, this is a good spot for Bláþyrill.
Just north of the area, there's a small track eastwards that leads you next to several rocky outcrops. These are great for breeding Jörfadepill, Bláþröstungur and Steinigða. The surrounding bushes are great for Álmtittlingur.
The open fields just south of the bridge are great for migrating chats and shrikes, so check the wires and fences. Bláhrani has been seen here often too during spring migration.

You can park your car near the bridge and walk around the area (see map). Several small trails lead you through the small wooded area, but are great to scan for migrants.
