Just south of Sigri beach is another part of the Petrified Forest park: Plaka Park. A nice spot for rocky landscape species, like Berghæna.
Just south of Sigri beach, another part of the Petrified Forest park is located, called Plaka Park. Besides worth visiting to admire several huge fossilized tree trunks, the area is also home to several typical rocky landscape species, like Berghæna, Jörfadepill and Hrjósturtittlingur. Somewhere in the area, Kliðfálki breeds and can be seen here often.
The park also offers a great view over the sea, and large flocks of Stormskrofa can be observed.
You need to buy a ticket to enter the park. Once you're in, you can walk around on the available paths.
