Description
Unteruckersee is about 7 km long and 2 km wide. Wide reed belts line the shore and provide breeding grounds for ducks, grebes, rails, bitterns and warblers. In winter, large groups of northern geese, Álft and Dvergsvanur, Gulönd and ducks rest here. With luck divers and scoters can be seen here in winter time.

Access
At various points you have direct access to the lake or can look over the lake and the reed beds from an elevated position at some distance from the banks. A good starting point is the promenade in Prenzlau from where you can look across the water to check for Sefgoði and Toppgoði. Don't miss the small Polder Magnushof.
