Partly accessible pond landscape with lots of reeds. The surroundings of the ponds are also interesting.
Stradower Teiche is an easily accessible pond landscape near Vetschau and can be reached in about 10 minutes from the motorway exit. You can park right in the middle of the pond landscape and from there you can immediately see the various ponds. If you follow the main path you have a good chance of: Álft, Gjóður, Sefgoði, Mjallhegri, Bláþyrill and Svölugleða.
There is also a lot to discover in the surrounding area. To the southeast is the large lake Wiesenteich, from whose north bank it is worth taking a look towards the fields. Various bird species can be found in the fields, the forested parts and on the lake itself. For example Vepja, Sönglævirki,Gargönd, Skutulönd, Skúfönd, Skeiðönd and Fauskspæta.
Stradower Teiche are located north of the town of Vetschau. The best place to park is right in the middle of the pond area. There is another parking option for the Wiesensee at the eastern end of Stradower Dorfstrasse. Click on a P in the map for directions.
The 'Hochwald' in the Spreewald is also said to be interesting - as well as other pond areas that I haven't gotten to know yet.
