Nature reserve Letter Bruch is of great importance as a breeding and foraging habitat for many meadow birds. About 3-5 pairs of Fjöruspói breed here. Also a breeding ground for Vepja and Hagaskvetta. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are Kornhæna, Akurhæna, Hvítstorkur, Brúnheiðir, Kattugla, Þyrnisvarri, Næturgali, Vallskvetta and Gulerla.
