Description

The Hainberg is a 213-hectare nature reserve on the southwestern edge of the city of Nuremberg. It is an open area, but also partly covered with forest. Bird watching here is most worthwhile in summer, when Þyrnisvarri, Laufglói, Fauskspæta, Svartspæta, Garðaskotta and Gauktíta can be seen. At the small pond and the river you can watch Bláþyrill as well as geese, ducks and Dílaskarfur in the forest. And of course other typical forest birds. Along the river Fossbúi has been observed.
