Description

Fulderaue und Ilmenaue is a nature reserve along the river Rhine. A river wetland with important areas of shallow backwaters acting as a feeding area for waterfowl and a breeding and resting place for waders and other waterfowl. How exciting the area is depends heavily on the water level. When the water level is low, this a very good area for waders. In the autumn ducks and terns. It's worth a visit as it's a real hotspot at times. Some of the birds you can encounter are Skeiðönd, Urtönd, Hvinönd, Gulönd, Tjaldur, Vepja, Sandlóa, Vatnalóa, Fjöruspói, Lóuþræll, Hrossagaukur, Lyngstelkur and Flóastelkur.
