Vineyards, rocks and a close-by forest with some interesting breeding species. One of the northernmost breeding places of Steintittlingur.

Description

Vineyards with two pairs of Steintittlingur (one of the northernmost breeding places), Gulfinka , Hörfinka and Netlusöngvari. In the rocks above the vineyards is Förufálki. In the close-by forest are breeding Fauskspæta, Svartspæta, Hrafn, Grænsöngvari and Náttugla.

During migration, you can see migrating raptors and some other migratory birds. In summer, there are also many raptors like Vatnagleða and Býþjór.

Access

There is a nearby train station in Rhöndorf (you can come by regional train from Cologne and Koblenz or by tramway from Bonn). You can park in Rhöndorf or at the restaurant below the vineyards.
