Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake Kanadagæs, Nílarönd, Toppgoði and Stokkönd can be seen. Around the lake you can observe Grænspæta, Þistilfinka, Fauskspæta and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as Skúfönd, Skutulönd, Gargönd and with a bit of luck also Jarpönd can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
