Description
This old military training ground is located south of Batumi on the border of the Chorokhi Delta. The rough grasslands and bushes attract Vallskvetta, Geigsvarri and Þyrnisvarri. A gravel road runs right through the middle of the area and gives good views over the whole area. During autumn migration look out for Stepputrítill who sometimes sit on the ground or in the grass very close to the gravel road. Also Fölheiðir can be seen hunting or sitting on the ground during autumn migration.

Access
The old military training ground is located about 10 km south of Batumi. Press P on the map for directions. You can drive the gravel road that runs through the middle of the area and use your car as a hide, or you can explore the area on foot. The gravel road is in fairly poor condition (lots of potholes) but okay to drive with a regular car. Unfortunately the area is also popular with hunters, so you could encounter a hunter in action.
