Description
Sentier de Lamirande is easily accessible and close to Matoury and Cayenne. It is a fairly short trail with beautiful views of Cayenne at times. It is very popular and I recommend going there at sunrise if you want to be able to observe the birds in peace. You can observe many species characteristic of the forest understory of French Guiana.

Français: Le sentier de Lamirande permet de progresser au sein de la réserve du mont grand Matoury, et d'y observer des espèces du sous-étage forestier. Le sentier est facilement accessible aux personnes ne connaissant pas bien la Guyane, proche de Matoury et de Cayenne, c'est un sentier assez court donnant par moments de beaux points de vue sur Cayenne. Très emprunté, je vous conseille d'y aller au lever du soleil si vous voulez pouvoir observer tranquillement. En étant attentif vous pouvez observer de nombreuses espèces caractéristiques du sous-étage forestier de Guyane.

Access
To access the Lamirande trail, take the road from Cayenne to Matoury. Between Cayenne and Matoury a sign will indicate the start of the trail. If you have a good car you can go to the entrance of the reserve, otherwise park at the start of the track. Press P on the map for directions to the start of the track.
