The Chastel peat bog is a natural area allowing you to observe the avifauna typical of Cantal.
Tourbière de Chastel is a sensitive high-altitude natural area with a wealth of habitats and the opportunity to observe raptors on the surrounding heights. Among the birds you can observe are Svölugleða, Snákerna, Grásvarri, Þyrnisvarri, Býsvelgur, Mánaþröstur, Barrmeisa, Hrafn, Vallskvetta and Hagaskvetta.

Tourbière de Chastel is located between Chavignac and Chastel-sur-murat. The site is a hike of at least 2 hours round trip and easy to access. Click on the P in the map for directions.
